Planet Poker opened the first virtual poker tables that started the ball rolling in an unstoppable and very speedy progression of a multi billion euro industry that reaches countries all around the world.

Even though it’s ten years old, online poker is still young as an industry and where it’s going to go next is exciting and worth waiting for.

Many people scorn the nature of the game and simply call it ‘gambling’ but to many it’s an exciting prospect that anyone can join in and give a go, maybe even prosper in.

Poker is played on tv, in bars, in sports halls, in war zones, in Vegas, London and Dublin, on the pc, on the laptop and even on mobile phones.
Some people play for fun and others play for the chance of the ultimate dream of winning or just making it to a top live competition.
There are players both young and old, male and female , from all walks of life getting invloved and winning in poker and you don’t have to win the WSOP to be proud. Just winning a local tournament can make you beam with pride and even an online low stake tournament can give you the greatest feeling of acheiving someing that many people who never play the game can never understand.
Poker is a great game, social and can make dreams come true, can help a persons perspective, change the way they think and improve brain power as well as many other human facets.
